Release 3.0¶
Deployed on July 15, 2025
This release builds on the foundation of stationary activity detection with advanced configuration options and integration into geo-coverage analysis. It delivers streamlined Targeted Areas workflows, refined ODK exports, and enhanced reporting, plus targeted backend tweaks and bug resolutions for smoother operations.
Updates & Maintenance¶
Backend Optimization Added automatic cancellation of idle database connections every hour to prevent resource leaks. Retained improvements to memory allocation and locking for concurrent operations.
Database Maintenance Continued performance tuning and long-term enhancements for core data services.
Improvements & New Features¶
Stationary Activity Detection Expanded backend tools (admin only) for stationary activity detection, now fully integrated with routine immunization (RI) workflows. Configure house-to-house, stationary, or hybrid strategies using predefined RI rules (customizable for duration thresholds, clustering, and limits). Detected activities display in the new “Activity” tab on the map, with details on team, duration, date, and location. Key additions include visitation computation from detections, drill-down geocoverage views, activity history tracking, cluster counts by type and day in the Areas tab, and multi-level summaries for reporting.

ODK Central Integration Enhanced the dedicated ODK Central instance with media files now stored alongside XML submissions for easier handling.
ODK Management UX Updates Unified exports into a single ZIP for GTS and Central data, simplifying downloads.
OData API Improvements Added distance and duration fields to OData exports for richer tracking insights.
Map Styling and Usability Enhancements Updated map summary labels and tooltips for clearer visibility. Introduced cluster counts by type and day in the Areas tab, with improved drill-down for detected areas and geocoverage.
Targeted Areas (TA) Management Improvements Enabled visitation tracking for overlapping TAs. Added confirmation dialogs for TA deletions and stack updates, plus cancel options during stack creation. Streamlined stack management UI with better error handling. Disabled TA export by default to reduce clutter.
Reporting and Export Enhancements Integrated MDG reports directly into GTS, with last computation details shown in the download UI. Limited RI computations to optimize performance.
UI/UX Refinements Improved overall navigation with refined left panel interactions and added contextual tooltips (e.g., for minimum duration in stack creation).
Bug Fixes & Corrections¶
Fixed map centering and panning issues in the Areas tab.
Resolved base layer rendering and download failures.
Corrected percentage displays that wrapped into multiple lines.
Ensured non-accounted teams show correctly for tracking rounds without TAs, including “accounted” info in tooltips.
Addressed JavaScript errors for missing quality checks in older tracking rounds and indicator failures when only RI is enabled.
Fixed stationary activity (SA) detections not appearing on the map.
Improved base layer warnings to include TAs in ordering checks.
Resolved tooltip issues for minimum duration during stack creation.
Numerous minor UI tweaks, such as label alignments and modal behaviors.
